Let the Waffle Making Commence!

by caroline

I don’t usually start the day with waffles, but when you get a new appliance and pair it with a special day, there’s just no excuse not to, right?

Yesterday, was my brother, Luke’s, graduation and we gave the morning a celebratory kick by trying this Bisquick Gluten-Free Mix.

I’ve used it before for biscuits, but when I found out I would be the one who got to break in my mom’s new waffle maker, I decided gluten-free Belgian waffles were in order! This waffle maker completely rocked my world. If you are in the market for a new one, then this guy is the way to go. It has a handy-dandy flip mechanism, and red and green lights that tell you when the waffle is ready to eat.

We made cinnamon waffles topped with strawberries straight from my parents’ garden …

… and dark chocolate chip waffles …

… and they were perfection.

The Bisquick Gluten-Free Mix was a hit amongst the gluten-free and non-gluten-free peeps! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who was looking to make waffles for a crowd with mixed dietary requirements. After we all stuffed ourselves, we had a bit of time to relax, and then it was time for graduation festivities.

It was a wonderful ceremony, and I still can’t believe my baby brother is a high school graduate. I adore this kid!

I am so glad I have the opportunity to be a part of special family events, and this day was no exception. Congratulations, Luke! I am so proud to be your sister and to have had the privilege to watch you grow into the person you are today. You continue to inspire me every day and I know you will do big things, baby. Big things!

I’m curious: What’s your favorite breakfast splurge? Is there a go-to product that’s a hit in your household? Share, please!
