Like Betty Crocker, Like Sisterby caroline
We celebrated my sister's 25th birthday this past weekend and to help you understand a bit about her, you should know we were also required to celebrate for the entire week leading up to the actual date of her birth.
She's a princess like that.
But here's the thing about my sister: While she may be one of the few 25 year olds I know who still expects her birthday events to be the equivalent of a five year old's, she is one of the most loving people I know. She thrives on making other people's special days the best ever. She decorates, bakes, sings and smiles her little heart out. She celebrates your event, perhaps, even more than you do.
So, when she showed up to her party with a gluten-free cake for her big sister and little brother, it was no surprise.
In the essence of saving time, the little baker that could relied on one of the nifty Betty Crocker Gluten-Free Cake Mix. She showed up with the cakes un-iced, so Dan got to work and smothered it in Betty Crocker Dark Chocolate icing. He, of course, also had to go a little nut-so with the Nestlé Tollhouse Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips, but the result was a gorgeous "a" design, fit for a birthday gal named Amanda.
And the cake was delish, too.
Happy birthday to the best sister ever:
