Toasty on the Treadmill.by caroline
It’s been kinda chilly here. And while I don’t mind a run in colder temperatures, I just haven’t been feeling it lately. (P.S. How cute is this jacket?! The cuffs roll over to keep your hands warm and are inscribed with: “Cold hands. Warm heart.” LOVE!)
Anyway, when that happens –– boo, hoo, I don’t feel like running outside –– I hit up the treadmill. I know. I know what everyone says: “But the treadmill is so bo-ring!”
I actually don’t feel that way. Sure, I don’t want all of my runs to be on a treadmill. But sometimes I really like slipping into a tank and shorts in the dead of winter, and pounding it out indoors.
Today I was looking at a jam-packed schedule, so I had to keep things short and sweet. I find that when I don’t have a lot of time, an interval run is exactly what fits the bill. Here’s where the sweat was:
It might have been an in-and-out workout, but I was sweatin’ up a storm by the time I was done with this one!
One of the things I especially love about running on a treadmill is cranking up the tunes to match the intensity of the interval I am working through. A few of my favorites right now:

I love to mix it up when I’m running. A variety of songs on my iPod helps me to pump my arms a bit faster and move my legs a little quicker — I totally rock it out!
